Accept a team invitation
Join a CosmicAC team by accepting an invitation sent to your email address.
Join a CosmicAC team by accepting an invitation sent to your email address. CosmicAC doesn't have public sign-up. You need an invitation from a team lead or platform administrator to create an account and join a team.
Prerequisites
Before you start, make sure that you have the following.
- An invitation email from a team lead or platform administrator.
Accept an invitation
Open the invitation link
Open your invitation email and click the invitation link. The You're invited page shows the email address that received the invitation.
You can use the invitation link only once, and it expires after 7 days. The invitation email shows the expiration date.
Accept the invitation
On the You're invited page, click Accept invite. The next steps depend on whether you already have a CosmicAC account for the invited email address.
If you don't have an account:
- In the Full Name field, enter your name.
- In the Password field, enter a password of at least 6 characters.
- In the Confirm Password field, enter the same password.
- Click Create account and join.
If you already have an account:
- Click Log in.
- Sign in with the account for the invited email address.
- When the invitation page opens again, accept the invitation.
If you're signed in to CosmicAC with a different account, the page says that the invitation is for another email address. Click Sign out, and then accept the invitation with the account for the invited email address.
If your deployment supports Google sign-in, you can use Google instead of a password. Use the Google Account for the invited email address.
After you accept the invitation, the web interface opens with the invited team as your active team.
An invitation works only for the email address that it was sent to.
Help and troubleshooting
The invitation has expired or is no longer valid
The invitation link has expired or is no longer valid. Ask a team lead to send you a new invitation, and then open the new link.
The invitation has already been accepted
You can use an invitation link only once. Sign in to CosmicAC with the account for the invited email address.
Google sign-in shows Login attempt failed, please retry
Google sign-in works only for an email address that belongs to a team or that has a pending invitation.
Ask a team lead to invite the email address for your Google Account, then sign in with Google again.
